Three-Tier Client/Server Architecture
AND
Delphi Component Writing

This months meeting features two excellent presentations covering topics of great interest to the Delphi Developer community. The application development issues associated with three-tier client/server architecture and Delphi component writing.

The meeting will start with Greg Lief, Director of Technical Services, Object Lessons, Inc. discussing several aspects of Delphi component writing. He will demonstrate how to write a custom component inherited from the Delphi 2.0 DBGrid and how to dynamically create components at run time. Object Lessons, Inc. provides Delphi educational services, including the Delphi Training Tour seminars and the Delphi Object Lessons monthly technical journal.

Christine Wan, Technical Account Manager for New England and Canada, Open Environment Corp., will discuss three-tier client/server architecture. Three-tiered client/server architecture provides all the benefits of one-tiered and two-tiered architectures while supporting the goals of a flexible, scalable architecture for distributed computing. Open Environment Corp., recently acquired by Borland, is a leading provider of highly scalable, multi-tier client/server products.
