Inprise Status Update This months meeting will begin with an update on the status of Inprise from Peter Marquez, Inprise Corporation and then continue with an introduction to the Inprise Application Server by Paul McGee, Senior Engineer from New England, Inprise Corporation. The Inprise Application Server is an integrated set of software development and management tools that enables enterprises to capture business processes into reusable components that are platform-independent and can be assembled into scalable, distributed applications. It accelerates and simplifies the creation, deployment, and management of these distributed applications. The Inprise Application Server enables end-to-end application development - from the integrated development environment (IDE), through the business logic, and then all the way through to accessing databases or host data in legacy systems. Once developed the application can be run within the framework provided by the Application Server. The Inprise Application Server consists of several integrated components:
